Lenten Season and Schedule:

Lent is a period of repentance and spiritual discipline in the Christian faith. Lent begins on ash Wednesday (February 22nd) and lasts 40 days, excluding Sundays, leading up to Easter Sunday. These 40 days symbolize the 40 days that Jesus spent in the wilderness, where he fasted and was tempted by Satan.

The Lenten season is a time for reflection, repentance, and renewal. During this time many Christian choose to spend more time in prayer and attend Lent services to reflect on the Word of God, and the Passion of Christ, thereby deepening and strengthening their relationship with God, their faith in Him

An important aspect of Lent is the celebration of Palm Sunday, which marks the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, and Holy Week, which includes Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. During Holy Week Christians focus on the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the events leading up to his death on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

This year our Tri-Point Parish will have shared services on Wednesdays. This is a great opportunity for our congregations to worship together. We encourage all that are willing and able to drive and carpool. Below is the planned schedule for Lent Services.
